| Niguel Hills is helping to protect our environment by recycling all water bottles disposed of on our school property during the day. We also are implementing Water Bottle Wednesday which gives families an opportu nity to save your bottles from home that would normally be put in the trash, and instead bring them to school each and every Wednesday morning.

| Parents who volunteer in their child's class now have until December 1, 2008 to complete the district's new Volunteer Application packet. After that date, only parents who have completed the process will be allowed to work with students. You may, however, begin the volunteer process at any time. Volunteer Application Packets are available in the school office and may be returned to Donna Mora. You will be notified when your application has been accepted and you will also be issued an ID card.

The Dollars for $cholars contest starts on October 1, 2008 and ends on March 31, 2009. Save your receipts from Ocean Ranch Village (Ralphs) and the Laguna Heights Marketplace (Albertsons) shopping centers. Save your Albertsons, Ralphs, and Longs Drug store receipts! Save your Ace Hardware, veterinarian, and optometrist receipts! Save your restaurant receipts such as Baja Fresh, Chaparosa Grill, Good Choice Sushi, McDonalds, NY Upper Crust Pizza, Starbucks, Subway, TCBY, Burger King, El Pollo Loco, Jamba Juice, Mario’s, Pick Up Stix, Round Table Pizza and more! Any of the stores in the shopping centers count!
